Relationship with Food
Explore the thoughts, feelings and beliefs about food that keep you stuck in the yo-yo's of diet. There is an approach to eating which is called Mindful Eating or Intuitive Eating. What this means is listening to your own body for cues. If we tune into our body, it will tell us when to eat to fuel our bodies, how much to eat so we don’t store unwanted fat and what to eat to give us not only nourishment, but enjoyment and satisfaction.
We want to explore why we eat when we are not hungry to get to the root cause. Once we understand that, we can devise strategies to nourish ourselves in other ways besides food. If we slow down and remove distractions while we eat, we can effectively tune in to our hunger and fullness cues.
